I had the opportunity to see the Palazzo della Civilta del Lavoro in person and it is fascinating, partly because you can see it rising above everything else from a distance.
I would like to recommend looking at a newly built development in Guatemala called Cayalá. It's a walkable city done right because the architect prioritized, like you said, timeless beauty with the history and culture of the area. Unlike other walkable developments that have failed because of a focus on modernism and environmentalism, this one seems like it'll endure.
Pretty fascinating and even practical.
Thanks Lucien, glad you enjoyed it 💪
Thanks for introducing me to Piacentini, Evan. He knew the secret to avoiding cancellation. Italian Americans be made aware of his work.
The pleasure's mine, Anthony 🙏
As a student of architecture I really appreciated this
I’m happy to hear that — Piacentini is a perennial inspiration
Really interesting. Super read.
Thanks Alan, glad you enjoyed it 💪
